I know this post probably doesn’t feel like it belongs here, but I enjoyed cooking the food and taking the pictures so much I just had to post it somewhere. In case you don’t already know: I cook a lot. Its one of my favorite hobbies. My flickr is filled with pictures of the dishes I’ve created. I thought it’d be nice to share some recipes and photos here on the blog. Today we are making Bacon-Wrapped Jalapeno Shrimp and Garlic Shrimp Scampi.
Bacon-Wrapped Jalapeno Shrimp

5 jalapenos, seeded, cleaned and quartered

Wrap in each strip of bacon: a tiny bit of minced garlic, a shrimp, and a piece of jalapeno

Finished, dripping in bacon goodness
Garlic Shrimp Scampi

Combine half of the butter butter with all of the onions, white wine, garlic, lime juice, pepper, and parsley. Simmer and reduce by 2/3rds

Next up, 30 medium shrimp, salt and peppered

Add shrimp to pan, stir in with the other half of the butter

Simmer until shrimp are cooked through (just a few minutes), should be turning a bit pink and starting to curl

Plated with a bit more parsley
I’m sorry these instructions aren’t super in-depth, but I think the recipes are simple enough that the pictures do most of the work. Cooking is really all about experimenting, so if you don’t like one ingredient, use another. As long as you don’t burn it to a crisp its going to turn out delicious.
