Another member of the And Me Network, Droid Week is a weekly Android app and game showcase. Each week, users nominate a new Android download to be featured and voted upon. At the end of each month, we tally the votes and name a Download of the Month (over on Android and Me).

Android and Me is one of the largest Android only sites on the internet (I suspect we may be the largest but until I can be sure I’ll have to stick with one of the). When we started the site it was just using an out of the box template but with the site’s growth I had the opportunity to build something a little more custom. I also rebuilt the forums. Soon we are launching Android Road Trip and a number of other Android specific sites.

Frank is a template for displaying a stream of social activity online. Frank can read, cache, and display all the items and updates in your WordPress, Twitter, Flickr, Vimeo, YouTube, and/or any other RSS or Atom feed you throw at it. Frank uses SimplePie (PHP required) to display items from any feed or combinations of feeds. Frank can display just your latest tweets, your flickr photos, your blog posts, or all three at the same time. Frank can also paginate the items for easy browsing.

Since his release, Frank has garnered a few template-geek honors. It was a featured item at ThemeForest and was even tweeted by Collis, the owner of the Envato network. Frank is currently for sale at ThemeForest for the crazy low price of $12.

Astrid has long been one of my favorite apps available on the Android platform and after meeting the Astrid team at Google I/O in San Francisco and finding out they were in need of a website I decided to offer my services. Astrid is sponsoring a contest on Android and Me and I thought it just wouldn’t be proper if we didn’t have a site to link to and thus this bad boy was born. Its a simple and clean one pager that highlights Astrid’s features, user reviews, current build, and latest Tweets. Visit: weloveastrid.com

Clean Company is an design I released a while back that has been completely revamped from the ground up. Clean Company now features a mostly rewritten codebase, new jQuery features, four color schemes, and much more. This template is for sale at ThemeForest.

NCsoft is a global leader in massively mutliplayer online gaming and this is my redesign of their current web brand. Until recently, the NCsoft brand in the US had been known as PlayNC (which you used to be able to find at PlayNC.com). As part of a move to shift to a consistent global brand they decided to form NCsoft West, which included a full redesign of the current website, account management, and online store. I was the lead designer and front-end developer and worked with an amazing team getting everything done under amazing deadlines. Completed under employment of NCsoft.

Nothern Lights, a new PSD template HTML template (courtesy of CAOdesigns) for sale at ThemeForest.

City of Heroes is a super hero themed MMORPG. Its been around for years and is still going strong. To celebrate the major updates coming to game, they decided to update the website. The design was a group effort from the US and EU teams at NCsoft. I was a designer and the lead front-end developer on the project. Completed under employment of NCsoft.

QuikTab is a CMS style WordPress theme with a jQuery powered sliding content area. It loads up all the content at one time and allows the user to browse with smooth animations and no page reloads. This theme is for sale at ThemeForest.

Completed under employment of NCsoft. Operation Immortality is a new promotion around Richard Garriott’s trip into space. Richard will be taking the ‘Immortality Drive’ with him into space, and users can sign up to send personal messages, upload their character, even win a chance at having their actual DNA sampled and taken into space. As part of promotion for Operation Immortality, I got to design and implement a ‘takeover’ of the PlayNC homepage. For the next 25 days, PlayNC.com will feature a new look to alert everyone of the new promotion. I was responsible for story boarding of the flash object (it was actually built out by Seth Scoville), design of all the new page elements, and coding/integration with our current template system.
